WheelWOD Athlete Classification
What Is Classification?
Classification is the process WheelWOD uses to help ensure fair and meaningful competition among adaptive athletes. It groups athletes into divisions based on functional ability (not diagnosis), so competition outcomes reflect preparation, training, and performance.
Classification Requirement for the Adaptive CrossFit Games
All athletes competing in the Adaptive CrossFit Games must have a current WheelWOD classification.
If you were previously classified and your classification is still valid for the current season, no additional action is required.
How to Get Classified by WheelWOD
To get classified, athletes must complete the WheelWOD classification application and submit all required information. Depending on your division and circumstances, required materials may include documentation and/or videos to support an accurate review.
All submissions are reviewed by the WheelWOD Classification Team using the official division standards and policies outlined in the Rulebook.
Classification Cost
- New Classification: $25
- Classification Renewal: $15
